AccuRate 1.1.4.1 or AccuRate Sustainability?

AccuRate 1.1.4.1 or AccuRate Sustainability?

Hearne encourages new and existing assessors to make AccuRate Sustainability their tool of choice. Here’s why:

Functionality
AccuRate Sustainability has all the functionality of earlier AccuRate versions with respect to assessing thermal performance of a dwelling under the NatHERS protocol, and has additional improvements to the user interface to save you time e.g. volume calculators and mirroring tools.

Ease of Use
Users competent in AccuRate 1.1.4.1, need very little time to familiarise themselves with the enhancements to the rating mode in AccuRate Sustainability.

Approved
AccuRate Sustainability is approved by Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency (DCCEE) as a second generation rating tool under the NatHERS scheme, and uses the existing AccuRate simulation engine. The difference in rating results generated by the two tools is nil or negligible.

Additional Modules and more to come
AccuRate Sustainability provides assessors with additional modules to assess the dwelling for other sustainability indicators e.g. hot water, water usage and lighting. Embodied CO2 is available in beta, with more modules coming soon. AccuRate Sustainability is the only tool to receive ongoing development.

New Licensing
AccuRate Sustainability is renewable annually and includes support (choose from Standard or Premium). This licensing change was necessary to ensure ongoing development and improvement, plus license holders receive (free of charge) all updates.

Future Compliance of Accurate 1.1.4.1
AccuRate 1.1.4.1 will only be supported until 30 April 2012 after which it won’t include scheme changes and therefore may not comply with all regulatory requirements.

AccuRate Sustainability is available here.
