PROGNOZ 5 Platform

Introduction

Prognoz 5 framework

The PROGNOZ 5 Platform is the foundation upon which each PROGNOZ application is built. It is a modular software package with data storage, monitoring, reporting, analytical, modeling and forecasting capabilities. The modular design means that the platform is easily customizable to fit the needs of your enterprise in a fraction of the time, at a fraction of the cost.

Architecture

The PROGNOZ 5 Platform uses a modular architecture. This design allows users to pick and choose the functionality that will best fit their needs and support their enterprise. Users aren’t forced to adopt “bells-and-whistles” they don’t need at extra cost. Adding new functionality as the need arises is also easier with PROGNOZ’s modular approach—expanding the system only requires integrating a new module, not overhauling the entire system. This flexibility to customize PROGNOZ 5 and effortlessly expand the application to meet business needs means that time and resources aren’t diverted away from other mission-critical projects.

Integration

Integrating software can be challenging. But another advantage of PROGNOZ’s modular architecture is streamlined integration. Modules sit on the PROGNOZ 5 Platform. This platform is already developed, and even when the platform is customized to your needs, you won’t have to twiddle your thumbs while a software application is built from the ground up. We simply turn modules on and off as you need them. In addition, the Web Access feature of PROGNOZ 5 allows users to log on to the system via the Internet. The application sits on a server (either at PROGNOZ or in your server center), and each user receives a link that enables them to run the program on their desktop. This avoids the time and cost involved in installing a software application on each individual machine —though PROGNOZ is flexible enough to do individual installations if your enterprise requires.
